Reader's Service
- Subscription department. There are about 47 tho copies of   documents in  the fund.
- Reading - room. There are 7 thousand copies of documents,
183 titles of  periodical  issues and about 24 thousand of visitors in it. 
- Muzic - room. Here you may find 20 places for visitors, modern video and  audio equipment. There are over 4,5 thousand copies of documents: about 500 copies of music, 3,5 thousand of sound 
 documents-   43 CD and  80 CC.

Children literature
- The stock consists of 16 thousand documents.  The number of visitors is about 12 thousand.  From 1991 every visitor may meet the
puppets from   puppet-show.

* Provides  the community with all kind of information  services.
* Instills new communication and information technologies.Holdings consist  of : printed documents: 4.300 units of informational publications, local     newspaper from 1945,   
  electronic databases:   LITLEX,   EBSCO in Internet and CD -ROMS, ENGLISH+,  18 units of electronic publications in CD and  local   electronic databases.

 
Acquisition
* Completes,describes, systematizes acquired materials.
* Organizes the library's cataloguing system.
* Since 1997 Computer catalogue has been compiled.
* Since 1999 the entries of the catalogue are  being   submited   to   LIBIS  joint catalogue.
Methodics
- Coordinates the activites of 4 city and 24 rural libraries.
  Collects and processes statistics.
